NEED to REMEMBER & THANK GOD (....it's FRIDAY?)

Micah 6:2-4   And now, O mountains, listen to the Lord’s complaint!  He has a case against his people.   He will bring charges against Israel. 3 “O my people, what have I done to you?  What have I done to make you tired of me?  Answer me!  4 For I brought you out of Egypt and redeemed you from slavery. I sent Moses, Aaron, and Miriam to help you.

So today the saying goes T-G-I-F, right?  But what about Saturday thru Thursday?   Why aren't we thanking Him for those days too?  I mean really if GOD wanted to level a case against us like He's doing in this scripture today regarding His People (Israelites) He could, and not change a word.    WHAT HAS HE DONE TO MAKE YOU TIRED OF HIM?  To where you only attend worship services on CHRISTMAS, MOTHER'S DAY and/or EASTER?  WHAT HAS HE DONE to which you've elected not to pray, or spend time with Him daily in a devotional?   WHAT HAS HE DONE that you have chose to live like a prostitute selling and giving yourself up to things less valuable than your life, instead of SELLING OUT FOR HIM?

TAKE A MOMENT...and instead of THANKING GOD FOR FRIDAY, and actually remember what ALL the LORD has done for you this week?  No sooner than the people of Israel made it across that AMAZING journey (RED SEA) had their party, they began to complain and forgot HOW GOOD GOD HAS BEEN!   I challenge you today to INSPIRE other's to THANK GOD for more than just FRIDAY.....He mentioned the sending of Moses, Miriam and Aaron to help them.  THANK GOD for your pastors, friends, co-workers, family members that HE has sent specifically for your deliverance!  LGLP

IF YOU WOULD DO SOMETHING

2Chronicles 7:14-15 .......if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 15 Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayer that is made in this place.

I remember the first time this scripture became real to me, was during the days following the 911 attacks. I mean your drove past some establishments and on their marquees you saw this scripture.   They would be followed by these words: GOD BLESS AMERICA, and I would wonder to myself is that backwards?  Do we actually think GOD hadn't been blessing us?  Howabout as a nation, AMERICA BLESS GOD? What would it look like for AMERICA TO FOCUS ON BLESSING GOD?  The above scripture is really a call to action for GOD's people....Are you enduring some tough times right now?   Been terminated from your job?   Wrestling with a diagnosis?  Marriage going or is stale?   Lost the TRUE meaning of Christmas and feeling depressed about it?  I don't know what it is you may be having a rough go at life right now but in this scripture is some of the most sound advice you can get.

IF YOU CALL YOURSELF A CHRISTIAN here's what you should be doing in the midst of your issues:
          1) First and foremost  HUMBLE YOUR SELF!  You are not above sin, & you aren't perfect
nor does GOD expect you to be!
          2)  Next PRAY if you can't change your situation on your own, PRAY to SEEK out the ONE
who can!  Seriously set time aside to go before the FATHER!
          3)  SEEK HIS FACE....what?  When your kids don't look at you, you command their full attention.
In other words get in GOD's presence....beit church service, small group, bible study, whatever....
          4) TURN FROM YOUR WICKED WAYS.....however you got in this mess, STOP doing
whatever it was that got you here.   As a matter of face refer back to no. 3!
          5) GET READY!  GOD's promises are true...HE SAID THEN WILL I HEAR FROM HEAVEN
FORGIVE THEM & HEAL THEIR LAND.

So back to the TITLE if MY PEEPS Would Do Something.......just maybe things would start to look brighter, and you'd begin to feel better.  There is no reason why a child of the king should be depressed. C'mon....we have GOD, HIS WORD, and each other to make it through the day!  LGLP

need to be Careful What They Ask For

2Chronicles 1:11-12 God answered Solomon, "Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked possessions, wealth, honor, or the life of those who hate you, and have not even asked long life, but have asked wisdom and knowledge for yourself that you may govern my people over whom I have made you king, 12wisdom and knowledge are granted to you. I will also give you riches, possessions, and honor, such as none of the kings had who were before you, and none after you shall have the like."
What is it?  What is it that you are in need of to properly raise your kids?  What is it that you are in need of to love your spouse?  What is it that you are in need of to be able to honor and glorify GOD at work?  What is it that you need to be able to confidently lead  your household, your friends, family, or community into a right relationship with Christ?   Right now, or at least for a few weeks if not months kids have been writing lists for this fictious Santa Claus in hopes that many of those things would be recieved.   My kids.....well they will be, WE will be sitting down talking/praying about to GOD what is it that we are seeking Him for that would help us, make Him more famous, more present (funny present...presents) in our world.

Solmon/GOD showed us something in this passage.   Solomon had a heart to please GOD early in his reign as king, and wanted to do right by GOD's people.    So, Solomon asked for wisdom and that petition SO HONORED GOD that HE blessed him with things he didn't even ask for (riches, posessions & honor).  Is what  you are asking for will it unlock other blessings, or will it put upon you curses and or further bondage?

As you, or maybe even your kids are making out lists for what it is you want for Christmas.......I challenge you to search your heart, and if all of it's desires are around STUFF, that you ask GOD to take those desires away, and create in you a clean heart, and renew a right spirit in you, so that your NEW LIST, would bless and please Him.  LGLP

Need a Deliverer

Exodus 3:7 Then the LORD said, "I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters. I know their sufferings, 8and I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians....

So many of us know the story of Moses and Pharoah, where GOD let's Moses know that HE is aware of the suffering of HIS people, and desires that Moses would go and instruct Pharoah to let HIS people go.   For several chapters a few things are apparent:
        1.  GOD is constantly pursuing us; His people!
        2.  While GOD could easily bat an eye, or wave a finger and immediately change a situation HE
delights in using His own people to bring forth His ultimate will.
        3.   When GOD calls us to a task, HE NEVER insults us by giving us an easy task.

Moses wasn't and hadn't been a public speaker or a deliverer but GOD called Him, and Moses learned to lean on and stay before GOD.    Egypt is more than a place on a map, it's a mindset as well.   We, many of us carry a slave mentality as it relates to being in financial bondage, abusive relationships, pesimism, need I go on.....and without really accepting the word of GOD as your final authority, and really listening to GOD given church leaders you may get left in EGYPT, or even worse dying in the wilderness due to your attitude regarding where GOD has brought you from.

TODAYCheck your attitude, see if it's one that HONORS GOD.  What is your Egypt, what are you in bondaged to...that you desire deliverance from?   Lastly, LOVE GOD enough to trust His instructions, and begin to really LOVE PEOPLE, and believe me....you will begin to experience TRUE DELIVERANCE and FREEDOM in your everyday living. ANGRY w/MY PEEPS

2Kings 22:16-18 This is what the Lord says: I am going to bring disaster on this city[b] and its people. All the words written in the scroll that the king of Judah has read will come true. 17 For my people have abandoned me and offered sacrifices to pagan gods, and I am very angry with them for everything they have done. My anger will burn against this place, and it will not be quenched.’
 18 “But.........................

So the scroll had been read to the king, and what was his response to finding out that GOD was angry with him & his people for failing to follow His law???  Let's face we have all experienced anger before, and GOD has truly every right to be angry, hurt, and or dissapointed with each of from time to time if not daily, but I ended vs. 18 prematurely because GOD was prepared to let the worst happen to HIS PEOPLE because they abandoned Him, to pursue other things.   Where are you in this story?   Is GOD angry with you right now?   Have you allowed something else to become your focus and not Him?

There is somewhat of good ending if you will to this set of scriptures.   If you continue to read you discover King Josiah really had a heart for GOD, and wanted to do right by GOD, so when he realized they had been living contrary to GOD's law his heartfelt response (repentence, crying out to GOD) saved Him from the destruction GOD promised.   But what about you?   When you attend (IF YOU ATTEND) a worship service.....do you spend time reflecting, repenting and praising GOD or are most of the sermons for THEM?  When you read/study, if you read, the WORD of GOD....what's your response to it?  ONLY ONE RESPONSE PLEASES THE FATHER.....LGLP

P.S.
If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just (true to His own nature and promises) and will forgive our sins [dismiss our lawlessness] and [continuously] cleanse us from all unrighteousness [everything not in conformity to His will in purpose, thought, and action].
